Ron is currently
Senior Vice President and Market Executive for the Metropolitan Washington,
D.C. region of First Citizens Bank.
Redmon serves on the
Advisory Board of Our Military Kids, and holds a seat on the Corporate Board of
Arena Stage. Redmon is a graduate and active alum of the Federal Bureau of
Investigation Citizens’ Academy in Quantico, Virginia. He also served in the
United States Army Reserves from 2001-2010 in numerous Military Intelligence
assignments at the company and battalion level.

Kim Kendrick, Esq.

The Honorable Kim Kendrick is of Counsel with Leftwich & Ludaway
LLC, and Senior Vice President of L&L Consulting LLC, a division of
the firm that specializes in management consulting, executive coaching
and diversity consulting.
Ms. Kendrick has spent more than 20 years engaged in the practice of
law and in public service. In 2005, she was nominated by the President
and confirmed by the U.S. Senate to serve as an Assistant Secretary for
HUD, with responsibility for Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity.
Ms. Kendrick previously served as General Counsel for the District of
Columbia Housing Authority, and as General Counsel for Covenant House
Washington, a non-profit organization that houses, protects, and
educates homeless and run-away youth. |

Amy Cook

Amy serves as the Associate General Counsel and Assistant Corporate
Secretary for the Card, Regulatory and Enterprise Governance group of
Capital One's Legal Department. Amy lives in Annandale, Virginia, with
her husband, Ernie, and two dogs. |

John G. Kelly

|
John G. Kelly is of counsel to Bean, Kinney and Korman, PC and focuses his practice on real property law.
Mr. Kelly has regularly contributed to Virginia Builder magazine and has published numerous articles.
John is licensed to practice law in Virginia, Maryland and the
District of Columbia. Prior to joining Bean, Kinney & Korman, Mr.
Kelly practiced at Reed Smith, LLP and Holland & Knight. Mr. Kelly
holds an LL.M. in Real Property Development from the University of Miami
School of Law and a J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law.
He received his B.A. in History and Political Science from Virginia
Tech.

Pat Anderson

Pat is an attorney
and CPA specializing in tax. She is a Managing Director at WTAS LLC, a
tax consulting firm located in McLean, VA.
She has two grown sons and her “children” are now two dogs and a cat.
Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Pat has lived in the Northern Virginia for the
past 30 years.

Jeff Scannell

Jeff has been involved with Shelter House since 2003 when he took on a
project under the Leadership Fairfax program to assist Shelter House in
creating a better donation intake system. When he graduated from the
program in 2004 he got involved by joining the board of directors. In
2006 he served as President and with the dedication of the board of
directors and the Shelter House staff they acquired the rights to manage
the Kate Hanley Shelter located in Fairfax, VA.

Tonya Cridland Gunnarson

|
Tonya has served on the Shelter House board since 2006. She resided in the Tidewater area for many years before coming to Fairfax and considers Virginia her home. She feels a strong connection to her community and is grateful that she can do her small part to help with the needs of the homeless and abused population in Fairfax County. She is employed as a medical software implementation coordinator. She also holds a broker's license with Weichert Realtors.

Barb Spollen

|
Barb is in her “second” career and is a real estate agent with
Weichert Realtors. For over twenty years, she worked in the financial
services industry, primarily in mortgage finance. Barb also has a
private consulting business that assists companies implement new
policies, practices, and procedures.
Barb has lived in Northern Virginia since graduating from the
University of Virginia's business school. She currently resides in
Annandale with her husband; her daughter, a college sophomore; and her
son, a high school junior. Barb is originally from St. Louis, Missouri
and spent part of her childhood living in the Netherlands. |

Denise Miller

|
Denise Miller, Director of Membership with the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce, has been a force in Northern Virginia and its networks for two decades. Ms. Miller, has been with the Chamber for over two years and has elevated membership levels, introduced new programming, and enhanced the value of membership specifically for small to medium size companies.
Prior to the Chamber, Denise worked in residential property management for 18 years. She was initially hired out of college as a leasing consultant and has worked in many different capacities and levels within management, sales and marketing. In addition to her involvement with the Chamber's charities, Ms. Miller has volunteered with the Brain Injury Services of NOVA, South Lakes High School, Reston Interfaith, and various initiatives throughout northern Virginia raising money for different non-profit efforts to better our community. Denise is currently in the Leadership Fairfax class of 2011.

Brett Thompson is chairman and president of Versivo. Under Thompson's leadership, Versivo has assembled a world class team of information technology professionals that deliver results oriented services to a wide range of commercial and government clients. Prior to founding Versivo, Thompson was an executive consultant with CGI.
A native of South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Thompson graduated from Susquehanna University with a bachelor's degree in mathematics and computer science. Thompson currently lives in Haymarket, Virginia with his wife, Valerie, and his son, Ethan.

Doug Turner

Doug joined Balfour Beatty Construction in 2001 and oversees all Human Resource functions in the North Region.
Doug received a B.A. in Organizational Communications from Brigham Young University, a M.A. in Management from the National-Louis University and a Masters of Applied Positive Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania.
Prior to his employment with Balfour Beatty Construction, Doug worked at Fannie Mae in Washington, D.C. for 15 years, most recently as a Director of Human Resources.
Doug and his wife Laurie have two daughters: Sara, who is a senior at Brigham Young University and Annie, who is a senior at Herndon High School. He and his family live in Herndon, Virginia.

As

with successful business owners and affluent individual clients to help
them achieve their financial objectives. Mark is dedicated to guiding
clients through the process of defining their goals, devising a strategy
to achieve those goals, and assisting in the execution and management
of that strategy over time. Working as part of a multi-disciplined team,
Mark provides comprehensive private wealth management services to
business owners, individuals and families.
Mark
moved to Northern Virginia upon graduating from Vanderbilt University
in 1994. Maintaining strong ties to his community is extremely important
to Mark. He lives in Fairfax County with his wife and two daughters.

Shelter House, Inc. Advisory Board
Shelter House is re-instating our Advisory Council
to provide fresh perspectives and advice to Shelter House staff focusing
on the areas of fundraising, volunteerism and programs or services. The
Council will meet twice per year to provide this essential support.
